Liaise
With Ministries of Education, Teaching service commissions, Boards of Education and other Government agencies on improving Deaf Teachers' professional and personal development
Advocate
for the recognition of sign language as the language used by Deaf people and the inclusion of sign language in the curriculum at all levels of school
Organize
periodic workshops, seminars, symposiums, conferences to strengthen and develop Deaf Teachers' capacity for optimal education service delivery to Deaf learners.
Conduct
researches and studies on practices and outcomes of Deaf education with a view to improve teaching and learning experience and outcomes
Engage
with policy formulators and other stakeholders in Deaf education to conceptualize practices and environments that ensure best service delivery to Deaf learners
Maintain
high academic, professional and moral standards among Deaf Teachers in Nigeria and ensure international best practices are employed in service delivery.
